| GERD | (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease) A disease where stomach acid repeatedly flows back into the esophagus, damaging it. |
| MRI | (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) A noninvasive medical imaging test that shows the innerworkings of the body. |
| OCD | (Obsessive Compulsive disorder) A long lasting disorder in which people have uncontrollable and recurring thoughts and engage in repeating behaviors. |
| CPR | (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) A lifesaving procedure you perform when a persons heart stops beating. |
| ICU | (Intensive Care Unit) A part of a hospital where patients receive specialized care for their acute illness or intense injury. |
| IBS | (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) A group of symptoms without any visible damage or disease in the digestive tract. |
| CRF | (Chronic Renal Failure) The irreversible degeneration of renal function that deteriorates to ESRD. |
| COPD | (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) A common lung disease also known as chronic bronchitis, characterized by restricted airflow and difficulty breathing. |
| CPAP | (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) A machine that uses mild air pressure to ensure a patients breathing while they sleep. |
| CSF | (Cerebral Spinal Fluid) the fluid surrounding the brain and the spinal cord that controls and coordinates everything you do. |
| Huntington's disease | A rare inherited disease wherein which nerve cells in the brain degenerate over time. Huntington's has a large effect of the persons cognitive functions and the person will lose control of their body over time. |
| Crohn's disease | An inflammatory bowel disease that causes chronic inflammation of the Gastrointestinal tract. |
| Parkinson's disease | A brain disorder that causes tremors and shakes. It does not appear to be hereditary and sets in in older age. |
| Hodgkin's lymphoma | A type of cancer that affects the body's lymphatic system. It causes lymphocytes to grow out of control, which causes swollen lymph nodes. |
| Klinefelter's syndrome | A genetic syndrome where a male is born with an extra X chromosome. individuals with this syndrome tend to have less testosterone and reduced muscle mass. |
| Tay-Sachs disease | A rare hereditary genetic disease that is characterized by the absence of an enzyme that breaks down fatty substances. |
| Popliteal | The back of the knee |
| Patellar | The kneecap |
| Lumbar | The lower back region |
| Cervical | The back of the neck |
| Plantar | The sole of the foot |
