superficial/external close to the surface
deep/internal away from the surface
Sagittal Plane Divides the body ionto right and left sections
Midsagittal Plane Divides the body into equal right and left sides
Frontal Plane Divides the body in anterior and posterior parts
Transverse Plane Divides the body into superior and inferior parts
Another name for sagittal plane is coronal plane
