| Edema | Swelling in body tissues caused by excess fluid |
| Axilla | Underarm or armpit area |
| Halitosis | Bad breath |
| Plaque | Substance that accumulates on the teeth from food and bacteria |
| Tartar | Plaque can turn into hard deposits |
| Gingivitis | Inflammation of the gums |
| Dentures | Artificial teeth |
| Bridge | A type of dental appliance that replaces missing teeth |
| Dandruff | Skin condition in which dry, white flakes appear on the scalp and hair due to shedding of dead skin from the scalp |
| Pediculosis | Medical term for an infestation of lice |
| Edentulous | Lacking teeth; toothless |
