| Ostracism | banishment of a public figure who threatened democracy |
| Hellenism/Hellenistic Age | expansion of math, art, & science while Greek culture expanded |
| Romance Language | originated from the Latin language |
| Plebian | member of the class of merchants, farmers, artisans, and traders |
| Aqueduct | underground/bridge-like structure mad of stone that carried water from the hills to the city |
