Grass growth and characteristics

Explain DMD the amount of dry matter that can be digested by an animal.

What is the seed head? the flowering part of the plant
What is a tiller? a side shoot capable of producing a new plant
Define palatability the measure of how good grass tastes
Define productivity a measure of the quantity of herbage produced by a grass
Define digestibility the amount of food that is used by the body in comparison to the amount of food consumed.
As the grass produces a seed head, carbohydrates are converted to fibre to support the seed head and digestibility decreases to.... What percentage? 50%
