What kind of King was Solomon? What did he do? A good one - Asks God for wisdom when God asks him what he wants - Wrote 3000 proverbs, and wrote 1000 songs - Discusses plants, beagles, birds, reptiles, and fish - Helps the two moms fighting over the child
How did Solomon oppress his people? - Forced labor - Divides the Land - Taxation
Solomon is known for (both good and bad)? Good- Built temple, builds royal palace, builds up cities and military bases, was wise, was in the golden age Bad- oppressed and caused force labor on his people, taxed his people, and divided the land
What is the Holy of Holies? Who was permitted to enter? Holy of Holies- thirty square feet with no windows, housed the ark of the covenant, had the cherubim sculped out of olive wood, and YHWH was said to have presence in this room, priests
