hypertension high blood pressure
leukemia a malignant disease of the bone marrow or lymph tissue
myocardial infarction heart attack
phlebitis an inflammation of a vein, frequently in the leg
varicose veins dilated, swollen veins that have lost elasticity and cause stasis, or decreased blood flow
