What are humans expected to do in response? | The four promises were, many descendants/offspring — bless all the families around the world — promised land of Canaan — his (Abraham) name will be great. Humans were expected to be circumcised at 8 days old. |

Why is Abraham called the "father of faith"? | Abraham follows God’s instructions, he trusts Him. Abraham was the first person to have a unique relationship with God (father = first). Christianity, Judaism, Islam all claim him as their forefather. |
