aspirate taking foreign material into lungs / act of withdrawing fluid with a suction device
intubation inserting breathing tube into trachea through mouth nose or throat / provides airway for breathing
PFT'S ( Pulmonary functions test ) test the ability of lungs to exchange oxygen and carbon dioxide and identify abnormalities
nebulizer device delivers a fine spray or mist into respiratory tract
ventilation perfusion scan nuclear medicine x-ray study of lung to identify abnormalities
thoracentesis surgical puncture into chest or thorac to withdraw fluid
