What are nobles? people from rich and powerful families.
What is a mummy? Specially treated bodies wrapped in cloth.
What was the middle kingdom? A period of order that lasted until 1750 b.c.
What was the new kingdom? A period during which Egypt was at the hight of its glory and power.
What are hieroglyphics? Egyptian writing system.
What is a papyrus? A long-lasting, paper-like material made from reeds.
What is the Rosetta Stone? A stone slab inscribed with hieroglyphics.
What is a sphinx? Imaginary creatures with the bodies of lions an heads of animals or humans.
What is a obelisk? A tall four sided pillar that is pointed in top.
What is theocracy? A government that recognizes gods or a god as the ultimate authority, the gods law is infused with civilian life.
What is the Nile River? The river flows to the Mediterranean Sea.
