Medical Terminology Terms
| Term | Definition |

| Subjective | The problem in the patients own words. |
| Objective Data | Comprise patients physical exam, laboratory findings, and imaging studies performed at their visit. |
| Assessment | A diagnosis, identification of a problem, or a list of possibilities for a diagnosis. |
| Plan | A treatment with either medicine or a procedure, or collecting further data to get a more accurate diagnosis. |
| Exacerbation | Patients problem is getting worse. |
| Lethargic | Decreased level of consciousness. Indication that the patient is very ill. |
| Differential Diagnosis | Lists of conditions the patient may have based on symptoms and results of an exam. |
| Prognosis | Chances for things getting better or worse. |
| Pathogen | Organism that causes the problem. |
| Mortality | The risk for dying. |
