| -algia | pain Ex: neuralgia = severe or stabbing pain related to a nerve |
| -cele | swelling or hernia Ex: cystocele = hearnia of the bladder |
| -duct | to lead to Ex: oviduct = leading to uterine tube |

| -emia | blood condition Ex: anemia = fewer than normal red blood cells |
| -genic | causing or producing Ex: pathogenic = causing a disease or an abnormality |
| -itis | inflammation Ex: endocarditis = inflammation of the endocardium |
| -lepsy | seizure Ex: narcolepsy = sleep disorder in which person has disrupted nocturnal sleep |
