andro- man Ex: androgenic = having a masculine effect
auto- self Ex: autogamy = form of self-fertilization
bio- life Ex: biopsy = process of removing living tissue
brady- slow Ex: bradycardia = slowness of the heartbeat
dys- bad, abnormal Ex: dysgenesis = defective development
gluc(o)- glyc(o)- sugar, sweet Ex: glucosuria = urinary excretion of sugar
mal- bad Ex: malpresentation = faulty presentation of a fetus
narc- sleep Ex: narcoleptic = a sleep-inducing drug
neo- new Ex: neoblastic = developing in new tissue
tachy- fast Ex: tachycrotic = a rapid pulse
