| blepharochalasis | baggy eyelid |
| ptosis | dropping of upper eyelid |
| cataract | opaque clouding of lens |
| diabetic retinopathy | disease of retina in people with diabetes that causes scarring and loss of vision |
| entropion | inward folding of eyelid |
| epiphora | abnormal overflow of tears |
| glaucoma | group of diseases that cause increased IOP that puts pressure on optic nerve |
| macular degeneration | breakdown of tissues in macula lutea that causes partial or complete loss of central vision |
| pterygium | wing-shaped conjunctiva that extends over cornea |
| strabismus | eye misalignment, cross-eyed or lazy eyes |
| fluorescein angiography | visualization and photography of retinal and intraocular vessels with dye |
| sonography | high-frequency sound waves to detect pathology in eye |
| tonometry | use of a tonometer to measure IOP |
| blepharoplasty | surgical repair of eyelid |
| cryoretinopexy | intense cold to seal hole or tear in retina; to treat retinal detachment |
