| Bible | Collection of Jewish and Christian writings inspired by God. |
| Christian Scripture | The 27 books of the Bible written in response to Jesus’ life, death and resurrection. |
| Hebrew Scripture | The 46 books of the Bible that record the history of salvation from creation through the story of Ancient Israel and up to the time of Jesus. |
| Salvation History | The stories of God’s actions and the people's responses over time. |
| Idolatry | Worship of statues or symbols |
