onychectomy removal of a nail (ectomy= removal)
onychotomy incision into a nail (tomy= incision)
rhytidoplasty reconstruction of wrinkled skin
autograft skin transplant taken from a different place on the patient's body
homograft (allograft) skin transplant taken from another member of the patient's species (homo= similar, allo=another person)
heterograft skin transplant taken from a different species
xenograft skin transplant taken from a different species
