Organ Systems

Produces sex cells (sperm and egg cells) used in the creation of offspring. Ovaries, uterus, and vagina (female); testes, and penis (male) Reproductive System
Provides shape, support, and protection. Allows the body to move. Bones, cartilage, and various muscle types. Support System (Skeletomuscular)
Removes excess fluid and dissolved wastes from the body. Kidneys, bladder, and urethra. Excretory (Urinary) System
Transports and delivers nutrients and oxygen to cells. Transports wastes and carbon dioxide away from cells. Heart, vessels, and blood. Cardiovascular System
Controls and coordinates body functions. Receives and processes both internal and external information. Brain, spinal cord, and nerves. Nervous System
Breaks down food, absorbs nutrients, and disposes of wastes. Mouth, esophagus, stomach, intestines, and anus. Digestive System
Gas exchange (oxygen in; carbon dioxide out). Nose, trachea, lungs, and diaphragm. Respiratory System
