Landform | Naturally formed feature on Earth's surface |
Climate | Describes the weather conditions in a place over a long period of time |
Vegetation | plant life |
Longitude | Imaginary lines that measure east and west of the prime meridan |
Latitude | Imaginary lines that measure distances north and south of the equator |
Hemisphere | Imaginary line called the equator divides the globe into the North and South hemispheres |
Political Maps | Show the features people have created |
Physical Maps | Shows the landforms and bodies of water |
Thematic Maps | Includes certain information about a place of region |
Artifacts | Human made objects |
Fosills | Remains of early life perserved in the ground |
Hominids | Beings walking on two feet |
Paleolithic Age | The Old Stone Age |
Mesolithic Age | The Middle Stone Age |
Neolithic Age | The New Stone Age |
Primary Source | Something written or created by a person who witnessed then a historical event |
Secondary Sources | Are written after a historical event by people who did not witness the event |
Oral History | Is made up of all the unwritten verbal accounts of events |
