What Is Geography? The study of earth and its people.
What is a Landform? A naturally formed feature on earth's surface.
What is Longitude? A line that measures distance east or west of the prime meridian.
What is Latitude? A line that measures distance north or south of the equator.
What is Hominid? A human or humanlike creature that walks on two feet.
What is an Artifact? A human made object.
What is a Secondary Source? Something written after a historical event by a person who did not witness the event.
What is a Primary Source? Something written or created by a person who witnessed a historical event.
What is Oral History? Oral History is made up of all the unwritten verbal accounts of events.
What is a Fossil? Remains of early life preserved in the ground.
What age is the Old Stone Age? Paleolithic Age
What age is the Middle Stone Age? Mesolithic Age
What age is the New Stone Age? Neolithic Age
What is a Hemisphere? Each half of a globe
What are Political Maps? The features people have created.
What are Physical Maps? The landforms and bodies of water found in particular areas.
What are Thematic Maps? Certain information about a place or region.
What are Continents? Seven large landmasses.
What is Climate? The temperature and conditions in a particular place at a particular time.
What is vegetation? plant life that grows in a location.
