denominator the bottom number of a fraction
dividend the result of dividing one number by another
divisor the number used to divide into another number
extremes the highest or lowest level of a math function on an interval
fraction a numerical expression of the number of portions of a whole by using the number of portion over the designated whole number, as in 1/8 or "one-eighth"
improper fraction a fraction where the numerator is greater than or equal to the denominator.
means the average that is derived by adding up all the values of a given series and dividing by the number of values
metric system the system of measurements that uses the base function of 10
mixed fraction a whole number and a fraction combined into one "mixed" number
numerator the top number of a fraction
percentage rate or proportion of each hundred
product the result of multiplying two numbers together
proportion another way of saying fraction
ratio shows the relative sizes of two or more values
