condition: pediculosis causes: parasitic lice infestation symptoms: skin itching nits (eggs) in hair by roots treatments: Rx or OTC lice treatments/shampoos
condition: psoriasis causes: inherited, autoimmune disorder symptoms: silvery scaly itchy lesions, can cause joint pain and inflammation of joints (psoriatic arthritis) treatment: NSAIDs, creams w/ vitamin d/a, UV treatments, hydrocortisone cream
condition: ringworm causes: contact w/ causative fungus symptoms: flat circular lesions (dry/scaly or moist/crusty) treatment: topical and oral antifungal medication
