Battle at Midway A pivotal naval battle fought and victory by Americans halted Japanese advances in the Pacific
Sterilization Complete destruction of all forms of microbial life causing people to not be able to reproduce
Euthanasia the act of painlessly killing a suffering person or animal; mercy killing
Genocide Deliberate extermination of a racial or cultural group
Concentration Camps prison camps used under the rule of Hitler, Conditions were inhuman, and prisoners, mostly Jewish people, were generally starved or worked to death, or killed immediately
Atomic Bomb bomb dropped by an American bomber on Hiroshima and Nagasaki destroying both cities
