Why did Kwame Nkrumah lead a movement? Kwame Nkrumah in Ghana r.1960-66 leaned far more to Russia; less significant nation, reasons they wanted out: did not want to contribute to global tension, could get aid from both, also they thought they could create a better way;
Were China and Cuba involved in the Cold War? those involved: amazingly China, Cuba (both are communists)
When did the Cold War meetings finally begin? meetings 1955, officially began 1961
Who attended the meetings? all of Africa and Middle East except Turkey and Israel SHOW MAP, just about all of Latin America, distinguish members and observers, most of Asia except Japan, South Korea, U.S.?
What was the U.S. perspective on Vietnam? US perspective on NAM, it’s not an equal sided argument; if you don’t side with the US you aren’t siding with freedom
