Armistice an agreement to stop fighting. WWl armistice was signed on november 11, 1918 at 11 am. We call this Veterans day.

League of Nations designed to promote and protect a lasting peace./ rejected by the usa (they wanted to stay isolationistic) later became the United Nations.
