| Helios | sun god |
| Uranus | sky god supplanted by his son Cronus |
| Gaea | earth goddess and mother of Titans and Cyclopes |
| Cronus | Titan who ruled the universe before his sone Zeus dethroned him |
| Rhea | Wife of Cronus and mother of Zeus |
| Cyclops (plural = Cyclopes) | any one of three Titans who forged thunderbolts for Zeus |
| The Fates | three goddesses who wove the threads of each person's life; Clotho spun the thread, Lachesis measured out the amount of thread, and Atropos snipped the thread |
| The Muses | nine goddesses who presided over the arts and sciences, including Calliope, the Muse of epic poetry |
| Athena | goddess of wisdom, skills, and war; her name is often accompanied by the name Pallas, which means wisdom |
