What do can we call to mind for "The Proclamation of the Kingdom of God and the Call to Conversion?" We can imagine the disciples going out to distant lands, facing dangers as they preach the Gospel. We can also think of Jesus Himself preaching before large crowds.
What is the Second Joyful Mystery and what do we think about? It is the Visitation. We are thinking about Mary's journey to visit her cousin Elizabeth and their greeting.
List the Joyful Mysteries in order 1) Annunciation 2) Visitation 3) Nativity 4) Presentation in the Temple 5) The Finding in the Temple
What happens at the Annunciation? The Angel Gabriel appears to Mary and she consents to become the Mother of God with the words, "I am the handmaid of the Lord, be it done unto me according to your word."
What are we thinking about in the Presentation? Joseph accompanies Mary and Jesus when they present themselves in the temple 40 days after Jesus' birth. They bring an offering of two doves and Simeon speaks to Mary: Jesus will be the rise and fall of many, and a sword will pierce your heart.
List the Luminous Mysteries in order 1) Jesus is Baptized in the Jordan 2) The Wedding Feast at Cana 3) The Proclamation of the Kingdom of God and the Call to Conversion 4) The Transfiguration 5) The Institution of the Eucharist at the Last Supper
What happens at the Transfiguration? Jesus ascends a mountain with Peter, James and John. He appears to them in glory along with Moses and Elijah.
What beautiful Marian prayer concludes the Rosary, just before we say, "pray for us O Holy Mother of God..." The Hail Holy Queen
What happens in the Wedding Feast at Cana? Jesus and Mary are attending a wedding party. They run out of wine. Mary intercedes for the hosts and tells the servants to do whatever Jesus tells them to do. Jesus has them fill jars with water, which he transforms into wine
List the Sorrowful Mysteries in order 1) The Agony in the Garden 2) The Scourging at the Pillar 3) The Crowning of Thorns 4) The Carrying of the Cross 5) The Crucifixion and Death of Jesus
What do we reflect upon in the "Agony in the Garden?" Jesus is in the Garden of Gethsemane the evening of his arrest and on the eve of His crucifixion. He is in agony as He contemplates the terrible suffering He will endure. He prays to The Father, ultimately submitting to His will.
