| History | finding out about the past using sources. |
| Sources | sources are evidence. There are three types of sources written e.g documents and newspapers, viual e.g photographs and paintings and oral e.g interviews and recordings. |
| Archive | buildings that store mainly written sources. |
| Museum | buildings that store mainly objects. |
| Primary sources | sources that came from the time being studied e.g birth certificate or census. |
| Secondary sources | sources that came after the time being studied e.g textbook or biography. |
| Bias | inclination or preference either for or against an individual or group that interferes with impartial judgment. |
| Predjudice | an adverse judgement or opinion formed beforehand or without knowledge of the facts. |
| Propaganda | a campaign directed at a targeted audience designed to influence opinions, beliefs and emotions to bring specific alterations in behavior. |
| Manuscripts | any document that is written by hand, as opposed to being printed or reproduced in some other way. |
| Autobiographies | a form of nonfiction in which a person tells the story of his or her life. |
| Biographies | a description or account of someone's life, which is usually published in the form of a book or essay, or in some other form |
| Chronology | putting events in order of time. |
| Artefacts | manmade objects e.g coins and spears. |
