| Humanism | Intellectual movement of the Renaissance based upon studying the ancient Greeks and Romans |
| Michelangelo | An Italian painter, sculptor, poet, and architect. He painted the Sistine Chapel and carved the sculpture of David |
| Leonardo da Vinci | A painter, sculptor, architect, and scientist. He painted the Mona Lisa and The Last Supper |
| Reformation | The movement during the Renaissance to reform the Catholic Church and establish the Protestant Church |
| Renaissance | The transitional movement in Europe marked by a classical influenced expressed through the arts, literature, and modern science |
