| Foramen | A hole in the bone where the blood vessels pass |
| Axial skeleton | Composed of the bones on the axis/midline |
| Atlas | First vertebrae in the cervical vertebrae (C1) |
| Axis | Second vertebrae in the cervical vertebrae (C2) |
| Appendicular Skeleton | Composed of bones and limbs |
