DI diabetes insipidus
DM diabetes melllitus
IDDM insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (type 1)
NIDDM noninsulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (type 2)
CSII continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion (used in conjunction with CGM)
HRT hormone replacement therapy
Glycemic index a relative ranking of carbohydrate in foods according to how they affect the blood glucose levels
