Holocaust | The Nazi program of exterminating Jews under Hitler. |
Nazis | The followers of this party helped to carryout his plan to exterminate the Jews and others from Germany during the Holocaust. |
Jews | A member of the people and cultural community whose traditional religiou is Judaism and who trace their origins through the ancient Hebrew people of Isreal to Abraham; terrorised by Nazis in Germany during the Holocaust; over 6 million killed. |
Hutus | Majority group in Rwanda; massacred Tutsis. |
Tutis | Minority group in Rwanda; Hutus massacred Tutsis |
Imperialism | Domination by one country of the political, economic, or cultural life of another country or region. A court of justice set up to convict those responsible for the genocide crimes. |
Tribunal | A court of justice set up to convict those responsible for the genocide crimes. |
Persecution | Hostility and ill-treatment, especially becase of race or political or religious beliefs. |
Rwandan Genocide | Beginning on April 6, 1994, Hutus began slaughtering the Tutsis in the African country or Rwanda. More than 800,000 were eventually killed. |
