What does S.O.A.P stand for in the SOAP Method? Subjective, objective, assessment, and plan.
What does the term "acute" mean? It just start or is a sharp, severe symptom.
What does the term "chronic" mean? It has been going on for a while now.
What does the term "malaise" mean? Not feeling well.
What does the term "malignant" mean? Dangerous; a problem.
What does CCU stand for? Coronary Care Unit.
What does BP stand for? Blood Pressure.
What does NPO stand for? Nil per os (nothing by mouth).
What does the abbreviation BID stand for? Twice daily, from the Latin phrase "bis in die", which means "two in a day".
What does the abbreviation prn stand for? As needed, from the Latin phrase "per re nata", which means "as the need arises".
