Who is Thomas Hobbes? a man who came up with the social contract theory, wrote the book levithan.
Who is John Lock? a man who influenced the works of political philosphy.
who is Montesquieu? a man who came up with the three branches of government, and one of the first to speak out against the catholic church.
who is Voltaire? a man who spoke for the essential freedoms.
What is Laissez Faire Economics? allowing industry to be free of government restriction, especially restrictions in the form of tariffs and government monopolies.
Who is Adam Smith? a man who is cited as the father of modern economics, came up with lassiez faire.
What is the congress of Vienna? The congress that took over after Napoleon fell from power.
What is the battle of Waterloo? The Battle of Waterloo was the battle that led to Napoleon's downfall.
What is the Comittee of public saftey? The safe group that eventually led to the reign of terror.

What is the Enlightened Despots? a form of absolute monarchy or despotism in which rulers were influenced by the Enlightenment.
What is the Natural Law? laws that is valid everywhere.
What is the Natural Rights? laws you are born with.
What is the French Revolution? a time in france when their government was in ruin and were at war with many other countries, killed their king which upset others.
what are The 3 Estates? the 3 french social classes.
What is Bourgeoisie? a french social class in charge of the capitol.
What is the Estates General? french nobles, the Church, and the common people. The independence from the Crown which it displayed paved the way for the French Revolution.
What is the Tennis Court Oath? an oath people took to take down the monarchy and make a new constitution and wouldn't give up.
What is the National Assembly? nobles formed this to defy and take down the king.
What is The Storming of Bastille? a time when people got so angry at the king they went to the prison and broke down the walls and took the guns and powder because it was the main symbol of the king's power.
The Declaration of the Rights of man and Citizens the rights each french citizen was allowed to have.
What is the Reign of Terror? a time when anyone opposing the new government would be excuted.
what is The Directory? a power in france during the revolution.
Who is Napoleon? a soilder who after working his way up through the french social classes eventually crowned himself emporor.
