Judaism The religion of Jewish people.
Torah The first five books of the Hebrew Bible containing the laws and teachings of Judaism.
monotheism The belief in only God.

Sabbath A weekly day of rest, prayer, and study.
Diaspora The scattering of Jews to many parts of the world.
Abraham Founder of Judaism who, according to the Bible, led hid family from Ur to Canaan in obedience to God's command.
Moses Prophet who led the Israelites out of slavery in Egypt.
Jerusalem An ancient city in western Asia; capital of present day Israel.
