| Salvation | True, complete, and permanent unity with God and with one another. |
| Permanent Constitution | Church's structure established by Jesus |
| pope | Bishop of Rome. Successor of Peter holding the highest office of teaching and governance in the Catholic Church |
| Permanent Ethic | Moral teaching which are essential corollaries of the Church's understanding of God revealed in Jesus |
| hierarchy | The structural order of leaders within the Church |
| Permanent dogma | Absolute truths which were revealed by Christ that will never change |
| Apostle | "One who is sent" |
| bishop | "overseer" Head of a particular diocese |
