Fertile Crescent

QuestionAnswer
Crescent A crescent is the thin, curved shape of a moon. The land around the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers forms a crescent shape.
Scarce Something that is scarce is hard to get or to find. Water is scarce in Middle East.
City-states City-states are towns or cities that rule themselves and the land around them. The Sumerians built many city-states where people lived and worked together.
Priests Priests are religious leaders.
Classes Classes are groups of people who are alike in some ways. Priests, rich people, workers, and slaves were different classes.
Conquered A nation or an Army that has used force to take control of something has conquered it.
