Ch. 11 Commandments

New Commandment and 4-6 Commandments

Christians show their love for others by treating them with kindness, respect, and love.
Disciples love one another, so everyone knows we are followers of Jesus.
In an examination of conscience we think about whether our words and actions show love for God and others.
Jesus combined the 10 Commandments and the one New Commandment.
Jesus taught his disciples through his words and examples.
Jesus taught the disciples the new law of love on the night before he died.
Sin is when we turn away from God's love.
The Fifth Commandment teaches us to protect the gift of life.
The Fourth Commandment teaches us to honor our parents and show them we care about them.
The Holy Trinity works in us helping us to follow the law of love.
The new commandment is also called the Law of Love.
The Sixth Commandment teaches us that every marriage is holy.
We can show our love for people by treating others with kindness.
We can use the 10 Commandments and the New Commandment to help us examine our consciences.
We keep the covenant when we follow the Ten Commandments.
How do I live the 6th Commandment? I can be a loyal and true friend, keep my promises, and respect my body and the bodies of other people.
