How does participating in Mass helps us to build a stronger relationship with God and with others? We grow in love and faith and we are spiritually fed with the Holy Eucharist so we can become what we eat and give it out.
What are the four presences of Jesus at Mass? People, priest, scripture, Eucharist
What does “Real Presence” mean? Catholics believe that Jesus' body, blood, soul and divinity are truly present in the Eucharist.
What are the four main parts of the Order of the Mass? Introductory Rite, Liturgy of the Word, Liturgy of the Eucharist, and The Concluding Rite.
Where are the First Reading, Responsorial Psalm, Second Reading and Gospel found in the Bible? (Hebrew Scriptures or Christian Scriptures)? The First reading and Responsorial Pslam is the Hebrew Scriptures, second reading is the Epistles and Gospel is the Evangelists (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John)
What is the major difference between Hebrew and Christian Scriptures? Hebrew scripture is based on the Jewish religion before Jesus Christ. The Christian scriptures are based on the Christian religion after Jesus, which is that we believe Jesus is the savior. They talk about about Jesus’ coming.
What does the word Epistle mean? It’s letters of instruction to early Christian communities.
Who wrote the Gospels and what are they about? Matthew, Mark, Luke and John wrote the Gospels. The stories they wrote were different perspectives about Jesus and his teachings and stories.
How does the Liturgy of the Word prepares us for the Liturgy of the Eucharist? A person who doesn't know the history behind the Eucharist, is just doing things without intention. You have to mean what you do and do it because you believe in it. The Liturgy of the Word is where we learn what God wants from us.
“Go in peace, glorifying the Lord by your life.” What's an example of what that might look like in your life? I think this might look like someone who puts faith into action by helping and forgiving others just like how Jesus did for you.
