Geography

Main Idea the main concept on which other ideas depend for meaning
Summary a shortened version of a passage
Category a group of items that shares similar characteristics
Cause the first event or person that makes something happen
Effect the result of a cause
Comparison showing similarities among ideas or objects
Contrast showing qualities that make ideas or objects different
Generalization an overall statement that applies to an entire group
Inference a conclusion that is formed using information that is not stated directly
Conclusion an understanding based on facts or details
Plagiarism the presentation of the ideas or words of another person as your own without offering credit to that person
Bibliography a list of the books, article, and other sources used in research
