Impact of Nepolianic Wars 1793-1812 (Social)

QuestionAnswer
Which social class had been affected by the wars with France? The working class.
Prices of food went up. Could peasants afford food? (Really between 1811-1814). No. Many starved in both the countryside and the new industrial towns.
Who benefited from the rise in food prices? Landowners because they were able to make higher profits during the wars.
What two things cause the 1810-11 Economic Crisis? Bad harvests and high food prices as well as urban unemployment.
Did anyone protest? Yes. Luddites former workers from textile industry because machines taking over their jobs.
