Where was Tenochtitlan built? Tenochtitlan was built on an island in a lake. The Aztecs made long causeways to connect the city to the mainland. The city contained between 200,00 and 400,000 people. It was well - planned and had a huge religious complex at its center.
Why did the Spanish invade the Aztecs? the Spanish arrived and conquered the Aztecs because of their horses and superior weapons. The Spanish invasion led to the decline and end of the Aztec Empire.
What were one characteristics of the Aztec Empire? By the early 1500’s, the Aztecs controlled a large empire that included somewhere between 5 and 15 million people.
What was happening during the Aztec Empire during 1900 A.D.? he Toltecs were losing control of the region. The Aztecs began to gain power and take over this area.
What were one of the religious rule for the Aztec Empire? Temples were built in cities for the many different gods.
