What is loess? Loess is a yellowish brown soil that blows in from the desert and makes the land fertile.
What are terraces? Terraces are platforms of Earth that look like stairs.
What is Beijing? Beijing is the capital of China.
What's the Huang River? The Huang River is the river with cuts through the North China Plain.
What are levees? A levee is a wall that traps water within it's river bank.
What's the Guangxi Zhungzu? The Guangxi Zhungzu is a region in southern China that has one of the best climates for farming.
What is double cropping? Double Cropping is a process in which two crops are grown on the same land in the same year.
What is the Tibetan Plateau? The Tibetan Plateau is an area
What is a pictograph? A pictograph is a Chinese language written in pictures that represent words.
What's the Shang Dynasty? The Shang Dynasty was the first dynasty in China.
What's the Bronze Age? The Bronze Age was the period in China which tools and weapons were made of bronze.
What was the Zhou Dynasty? The Zhou Dynasty was the 2nd dynasty in China.
What is the silk road? A trading route from northern China and across central Asia to the lands of the Roman Empire.
What is the Qin Dynasty? The dynasty that had come after the Zhou Dynasty.
What's the Han Dynasty? The dynasty that came after the Qin Dynasty.
Who was Wu Di? The emperor of the Qin Dynasty after Shi Huangdi.
What is civil service? The practice of using skills and talents to work in the government.
What are oracle bones? Shells and Bones commonly used during the Shang Dynasty to predict the future.
What are middlemen? People who go between buyers and sellers.
Who is Shi Huangdi? The first emperor of the Qin Dynasty.
What is the Great Wall? A wall built all around China that prevented enemies from getting in.
Who is Confucius? A man in China who taught the Chinese people.
What is the book of documents? A book written by Confucius.
What are Analects? A collection of sayings by Confucius that was written down by his students.
What is Confucianism? Believing in the virtues of humanity, respect for the family, and humility/modesty.
What is Daoism? The belief in finding the way or the dao of the universe.
Who is Laozi? Laozi was the first great teacher of Daoism and taught before Confucius.
