What are lines of latitude? They are lines that run east and west around the Earth.
What is the Tropic of Cancer? In the Northern Hemisphere, at about latitude 23 N.
what are longitude lines? They are lines that run north and south around the Earth.
What is the Tropic of Capricorn? South of the Equator, at about latitude 23 S.
What is a Tropical Zone. The section of earth between the Tropic of cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn is called the Tropical Zone
what is a Torrid Zone? The Torrid Zone is the same as the Tropical Zone
What is a Arctic circle? When the sun does not rise on at least one day in our winter and does not set on at least one in summer.
What is a Antarctic Circle? The Antarctic is the same as the Arctic but it is only in the Northern and the Arctic is in the Southern.
What is a Temperate Zone? In the between of the Arctic Circle and the Tropic of Cancer, and between the Antarctic Circle and the Tropic of Capricorn are known as the temperate zone.
What is a frigid zone? The zones north of the Arctic Circle and south of the Antarctic Circle are known as the Frigid zone.
What is a polar region? A polar region is the same as the as the frigid zones but is just another name for it.
What is Axis? The Earth's Axis is an imaginary line between the North Pole and the South Pole.
What are parallel lines? Parallel lines are the same as Latitude lines.
What are Meridian Lines? Meridian lines are the same as the Longitude lines .
What is a Global Grid? When Latitude and Longitude lines form a pattern pf crossed lines.
What is Economy? A system that a community uses to produce and distribute goods and services.
What is a civilization? It is a complex society that has cities, a well organized govermant, ans workers with specialized job skills.
What is a Resource used for? It is a supply of something that can be used as needed.
What is a religion? It is a shared belief about supernatural powers that created and rule the world.
What are social classes? They are groups of people that occupy different ranks or levels in society.
What is a region of the Middle east that stretches in a large, crescent shaped curve from the Persian Gulf to the Mediterranean sea? The Fertile Crescent.
What does the Fertile Crescent include? Mesopotamia.
What type of trading system is used to exchange goods directly without using money? A Barter.
What is it called when you belief in more than one God? Polytheism.
What is an Irrigate? When Sumerians used technology to irrigate or supply water to their crops.
What were Sumerian cities, that the temples were pyramid shaped brick towers? they were called a Ziggurat.

A Cuneiform is a? System of writing that uses triangular shaped symbols to stand for ideas or things.

What is an Calvary? They are soldiers who fight while riding horses.
A Standing Army is what? Is a permanent army of professional soldiers.
When you Tribute, you what? You make a payment and because of that you show loyalty to a stronger power.
What is a Currency? It is money that is used as a medium of exchange, usually bills or coins.

What is an Export? It s good or service produced within a country and sold outside the countries boulders.

What is a Colony? An are ruled by a distant country.
What is a Cultural Diffusion? Is a spreading of cultural traits from one region to another.
An Alphabet is what? It is a small set of letters or symbols, each which stands for a single stand.
