Osmosis movement of nutrients throughout the plant which results in higher to lower nutrient solute concentration available to plant
Root nodules swellings on roots containing rhizobium bacteria which take nitrogen from the atmosphere, combine with oxygen, and produce NO3 or NH3, forms or nitrogen which can be used by the plant
Semipermeable membrane tiny pores on the root hairs that allow the passage of water molecules by osmosis
Cohesion-tension vacuum that causes water to move into the vascular cylinder of the root
Vascular cylinder contains the phloem and xylem which transports sugar and dissolved nutrients to the plant
