Neolithic Era When human beings stopped being nomads and finally figured out how to farm
Fertile Soil Dirt that is good for farming
Agriculture The practice of farming and growing crops
Irrigation The movement of water to land or crops
Tigris-Euphrates Rivers Rivers in Mesopotamia that brought fertile soil
Cuneiform Writing system using wedge-shaped symbols
Ziggurat A temple or place of worship
Code of Hammurabi Written set of laws. Very harsh and strict
Monotheism Belief in one god
Polytheism Belief in many gods

Terrace Farming Changing a mountain in order to grow food on it
