meditation | activity of the intellect directed towards God |
prudence | power to make good decisions |
justice | habit of giving what is due to each |
fortitude | ability to persevere, even when difficult |
temperance | habitual moderation according to reason |
intention | the desire of the will during a moral act |
moral act | action of a free individual |
circumstances | describe who, what, when, how, etc. of a human act |
merit | reward that results in increased ability or capacity |
prayer of quiet | supernatural grace resulting in the union of will with God |
humility | virtue that allows us to see the truth about ourselves |
locutions | spiritual gifts that pertain to what is "heard" |
visions | spiritual gifts that pertain to what is seen |
faculties of the soul | will, intellect and memory |
faults | both intentional and unintentional defects |
recollection | enter within oneself with a focus on God |
fidelity | faithfulness |
rapture | spiritual gift that suspends both interior and exterior senses |
