What is prehistory? time before there was writing
What is hominid? an early ancestor of humans
Who is ancestor? a relative who lived in the past
What is tool? an object that has been modified to help a person accomplish a task
What is Paleolithic Era? the first part of the Stone Age, when people first used stone tools
What is society? a community of people who share a common culture
Who are hunter-gatheres? people who hunt animals and gather wild plants, seeds, adn nuts to survive
What is migrate? to move to a new place
What are ice ages? long periods of freezing weather
What is landn bridge? a strip of land connecting tips of continents
What is Mesolithic Era? the middle part fo the Stone Age; marked by the creatiton of smaller and move complex tools
What is Neolithic Era? the new Stone Age; when people learned to make fire adn tools such as saws and drills
What is doomestication? the process fo changing plants or animals to make them more useful to humans
What is agriculture? farming
What are megaliths? a huge stone monument
