What is a tyranny? A government in which one person takes power by force.

Why were the seas important to the early greeks? they provided trade routes
What were the two earliest cultural groups to develop in Greece? Minoans and Mycenaeans
What feature wa a Greek polis usually built? fortress
Why did the Greeks create colonies? they wanted to become rich from trade
