What were the SCIENTIFIC CONTRIBUTIONS from the Huang He Valley? Learned to create and used silk, mapped stars, and created a navigation system based on these star maps.
What were the CULTURAL CONTRIBUTIONS from the Huang He Valley? Created the first system of currency using shells, created first paper currency, Chinese writing included inscriptions carved on ox bones and turtle shells.
What was the government like in the Huang He Valley? A ruling family or dynasty known as the Shang took power in Ancient Huang He, powerful nobles helped them rule using military power for 500 years, ruled many dynasties.
Describe the religion of the Huang He Valley. Offered sacrifices to their ancestors, believed in spirits and demons affected everyday life and they must be kept happy.
Describe the agriculture of the Huang He Valley. Flooding led to fertile soil that was used to grow millet. First to plant in rows rather than scattering seeds which led to greater crop yield. Terrace farming and plows were used.
