| Phlebitis | Inflammation of the veins. |
| Anemia | A reduction in the quantity Of either red blood cells or hemoglobin. |
| Angina Pectoris | Chest pain that results from reduced blood supply to the heart. |
| Hypertension | The most prevalent cardiovascular disorder in Northern America; Also called High Blood Pressure. |
| Pericarditis | Inflammation of the pericardium, which can compress the heart and impair function. |
| Peripheral Arterial Disease | Also called ARTERIOSCLEROSIS of the extremities; a disease of narrowed arteries outside the heart. |
| Thrombophlebitis | Inflammation of a vein with thrombus formation. |
| Orthostatic Hypertension | Sudden drop in blood pressure when moving from a lying down or sitting position to an upright or standing position, causing a loss of balance. |
| Congestive Heart Failure | Inability of the heart to pump blood to meet the bodyâs demands. |
| Arteriosclerosis | Group of diseases characterized by a series of events that lead to a thickening and loss of elasticity Of arterial walls. |
| Coronary Artery Disease | Most common form of heart disease, a deposition of ATHEROSCLEROTIC PLAQUE in coronary arteries. |
| Thrombosis | Transformation of fluid blood into a gelatinous mass; Blood Clot |
| Atherosclerosis | Presence of lesions called âplaqueâ, in middle-size and large arteries. |
| Myocardial Infarction | Death of myocardial tissue from interrupted blood supply and prolonged ischemia. |
| Embolism | Floating matter in the intra-vascular space that is carried by blood and occluded a blood vessel. |
| Raynaudâs Disease | Disease of cyclic and periodic arterial vasospasm in superficial tissues of the fingers and toes, leading to ischemia. |
| Arrhythmia | Any deviation from a normal heartbeat or rhythm. |
| Aneurism | Localized weakness in a blood vessel wall that bulge outward. |
| cardiomyopathy | General term for any weakening or change in the myocardium, often associated with inadequate heart pumping. |
| Varicose Veins | Dilated ultimately from incompetent valves. |
